HIKING

Several walks start directly from the campsite. One you should definitely do is to La Vinzelle, a picturesque village on a rock with panoramic views. The first 20 minutes has a steep uphill gradient, but then you've had the most difficult part. The beautiful views, the variety of landscapes and a refreshing stream along the way make this hike a regular ritual for returning guests. In La Vinzelle, enjoy a well-earned (reserved) lunch or a delicious ice cream sundae before starting the descent again.

Detailed information on hiking routes with QR codes can be found in the folder at reception.

Hiking apps we can recommend include Komoot and Alltrails

CANOEING

Canoeing on the Lot represents a day full of fun. It is a calm river with occasional fun rapids. Three routes are available, two of 10 and one of 20 km. The start of the trip is in Entraygues or Vieillevie, both not far from the campsite.

Book online at www.asvolt.fr or call +33 (0)4 71 49 95 81.

CYCLING

For those who enjoy cycling, there are some reasonably flat routes along the Lot and along the Dourdou, a side river. For those who are not afraid of a bit more climbing and bring an electric bike, road bike or mountain bike, the possibilities are endless. Endless small roads, with sometimes nice gradients, with hardly any traffic and with beautiful views.

You can hire an electric bike at BEES in St Cyprien sur Dourdou, they also offer organised (electric) mountain bike tours.

MARKETS & FLEA MARKETS

In the summer months, several markets and flea markets can be found in the area every week. You will find an overview of the markets on the board at reception. A complete overview of all flea markets can be found at brocabrac.fr.

Don't miss the weekly food market on Wednesday evening in St. Parthem and the Saturday market in Figeac. Nice in combination with a visit to the town.

The nearest market is every Sunday morning in Grand Vabre. There are about 8 stalls here selling only local produce. Nice to take a look and then have a drink on the square near Hotel Solomiac.

DRIFTING

The 'national sport' at Camping Coursavy is so-called drifting. A fairly simple, yet very relaxing, activity. The recipe is as follows:

* Inflatable item (tyre, flamigo, air mattress, alpaca or similar)

* Swimwear

* Water shoes

* Sunburn

* Time

Next: one walks, preferably with several people, to the beginning of the campsite or 1.5 km to St. Projet (for the ultimate experience) and enters the river with the inflated item. Sit or lie down and then do nothing at all until you reach the end of the campsite. Remember to 'get out' there, there is no pick-up service at the bridge 2 km away.

Disclaimer: drifting is addictive and can cause permanent laziness.

Grand Vabre Nature | Grand-Vabre

Les Rives du Lot | Grand-Vabre

A little further on, in Conques and St. Parthem you'll find a few more. In short, plenty of options.

In high season, it's wise to book a few days in advance.
